Hi! I’m Catherine!
You can call me CC. I’m an actor, deviser, and teaching artist currently based in Chicago.
I graduated with my MFA in Acting from the University of Iowa 2018 and have since received training with Julian Boal in TO/Forum theatre, Ruby Rose Fox in the Muscle Music Method, Marc Frost and Brandon Fogel in Red Nose Clown Intensive Level 1 & 2 ;Theatrical Intimacy Education in Consent & Best Practices, Playback Theatre, Psychodrama, and a Viola Spolin Intensive with Aretha Sills.
I love learning and growing in my practice.
I spent Summer 2025 collaborating with incredible deviser/playwright Lizzy May on a queer retelling of Peter Pan entitled Lost Boys that we performed around CHI. I worked as a Lead Teaching Artist for summer camps at Chicago Children’s Theatre where I also perform in The Red Kite: Green Mountain Friendship Tour a sensory friendly show for those on the Autism spectrum. Finally, I collaborated with Local Lab Co. & Kevin Aoussou on Living Room Sessions and Capsule.
COMING UP: I will be on stage in Angry F*gs with Ghostlight Ensemble Theatre, November 2025.
In my daily life, I’m a theatre teaching artist who focuses on the magic of connection/creating, self-awareness, and resilience while teaching all ages and spectrums of identity. I am also a loving cat guardian (I have 2), an avid reader, a beginner at a lot of my hobbies (like ukulele, and tarot), and a triple aquarian.
What gives my life meaning is getting to create with alive, juicy, kind humans. If that feels like you, let’s connect.
